I got a really late start on planting things this year. Luckily, (and unknown to me) sunflowers and morning glorys come back each year, so I did get a good start with those. I suppose whatever else I have this summer will be mostly grown already when I buy it. My little backyard flower bed isn't in a great place to get full sun, so I'm sticking to pots for things that require sun all day. I do need to get something for the front, right corner of the bed back there, it's empty and sad. Anyone know of something pretty that would need/get full morning sun and shade the rest of the day?
I also bought the start of a bell pepper plant. Everyone I know is planting veggies of some kind, so I decided to start with just one since I have no idea what I'm doing. I plan to do more when we buy a house, it's just not worth all the work to make a pretty garden here, only to leave it. My little pepper plant has a few tiny peppers on it already. It had one when I got it, so at least it is making some progress! I am also the only person in the house who enjoys bell peppers, so this little plant is all mine :)
